St Johann - In a delightfully sunny setting, at the foot of the mighty Kitzbuheler Horn, the picturesque village of St Johann will certainly capture your imagination. Beautiful old gabled houses with carver wooden balconies awash with flowers in the summer months add to the beauty of this charming village. If you want to try your hand at skiing, or are already an expert on the white stuff, St Johann offers wonderful wide open, tree lined pistes along with some more challenging black runs. A perfect destination for summer or winter.
St Johann in Tirol offers a moderately sized, family friendly, ski area with a choice of runs for all standards. The ski area is low by modern standards, but three quaters of the slopes are covered in artificial snow to ensure good cover so long as it is cold enough for them to operate.

The dialysis unit accepts the EHIC card and is only a few minutes walk from one of the top hotels - The Park.

Zell am See - The idyllic mountain town of Zell has the perfect location right on the lake, with the snowcapped peaks of the 'Hohe Tauern' mountains rising up to the south.  The lake offers all kinds of water activities including lake cruises, rowing, water skiing and swimming.  There is some superb walking in the area.  Zell town has a beautiful historic centre with a bustling, pedestrianised area with pavement cafes and a great selection of shops to just browse on a sunny afternoon.  Zell's central location makes it easy to visit other areas of Austria, including a day trip to Salzburg which is just an hour and a half away.  During the height of winter the Lake freezes over enabling you to walk from one side to the other.  Zell am see is also part of the Europa Sport Region which includes the neighbouring blacier resort of Kaprun.  Easily accessible by local ski bus, the area provides a great range of pistes to suit all levels during the ski season.  The dialysis unit again accepts the EHIC card, and is situated just on the outskirts of Zell am See.
