Spain with its Flamenco, Paella and Sangria has long been a favourite destination of the British tourist. We have over 50 dialysis units across Spain in some of the most popular regions in the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Costa Brava as well as units in some of Spain’s major cities.
Torremolinos is located on the Costa del Sol, on the western shore of the bay of Malaga, behind the mountain range Sierra de Mijas. The main feature of Torremolinos is the beaches. It has almost 7KM of coastline. The unit is conveniently located for people staying in Torremolinos and the neighbouring resorts of Benalmadena and Fuengirola. The unit accepts the EHIC/GHIC and dialysis is available every day except Sunday. The unit provides for both single and double needle.
Located at the most eastern part of the province of Malaga one can find the beautiful region of la Azarquia. With its rocky coast, the region is crowned with impressive mountains of the Sierra de Almijara endowed with an excellent heritage, rich culture and popular traditions. The dialysis centre is close to the beachfront and is under the same management as the unit in Torremolinos, it is very convenient for holidays in the Nerja area The unit accepts the EHIC/GHIC and dialysis is available every day except Sunday. The unit provides for both single and double needle.
Estepona is a town on the Costa del Sol. Located between Marbella and Manilva, at the foot of the Sierra Bermeja mountains. The unit accepts the EHIC/GHIC. Dialysis is available every day except Sunday and double and single needle is provided for.
Malaga is one of the most famous and important tourist centers in Spain, known for its Mediterranean coast. The tastefully restored historic centre is a delight: its Gothic cathedral is surrounded by narrow pedestrian streets flanked by traditional and modern bars, and shops that range from idiosyncratic and family owned, to urban-chic and contemporary. Cast your eyes up to enjoy a skyline that reflects the city’s eclectic character; church spires jostle for space with russet-red tiled roofs and lofty apartment buildings while, like a grand old dame, the 11th-century Gibralfaro castle sits grandly aloft and provides the best view of all. The dialysis unit was opened in 2013, with 30 dialysis chairs each with their own TV, Free WIFI and lighting, refreshments are also served and EHIC/GHIC accepted.
Huelva, the capital city of the province homonima, is one of the highlights of the Andalusian coast, located where the rivers Tinto and Odie meet. Renowned for its sandy beaches a characteristic of the Costa de la Luz. Huelva gives homes to a privileged gastronomy and wonderful natural surroundings. The unit close to the centre of Huelva offers an excellent medical service as well as a warm and friendly atmosphere. Opened in 2010, the unit offers 35 dialysis chairs all equipped with their own TV and free WIFI - refreshments are also served during dialysis and EHIC/GHIC accepted. In the province of Huelva we have units in Minas de Riotinto and Cartayaall accepting the EHIC/GHIC.
Seville has a rich Arab legacy, seen by the several impressive historical World Heritage declared buildings. Drenched for most of the year in spirit-enriching sunlight, this is a city of feelings as much as sights, with different seasons prompting vastly contrasting moods: solemn for Semana Santa, flirtatious for the spring fiesta and soporific for the gasping heat of summer. The unit is located in the Olympic Stadium Cartuja, 7.2KM from the station Santa Justa. EHIC/GHIC is accepted.
Motril is a city full of contrasts where visitors face a world of incredible sensations. A blue sky allows the sun to shine for more than 320 days a year, illuminating the crystal clear waters of the beaches and the green valley, with the backdrop of Sierra Nevada Mountains. Jaen is a city that every lover of Andalucia should visit, enjoy and - if possible - spend a good deal of time getting to know. Not only does the city have an ancient and fascinating history, but the castle that towers over its winding streets offers some of the most quintessentially Andalusian views there are to be had. The Santa Catalina clinic opened in 1995 and offers 25 dialysis chairs all equipped with their own TV, free WIFI and refreshments. EHIC/GHIC accepted.
Of all Spain’s mainland provincial capitals, Alicante is the most influenced by tourism, thanks to the nearby airport and resorts. Nevertheless it is a dynamic, attractive Spanish city with a castle, old quarter and long waterfront. Impressive galleries and a chic marina give this city a cosmopolitan atmosphere all year round. We have a unit close to Alicante centre, approximately at 5-8 minute taxi ride from the Marina area. We also have a unit in San Vicente del Raspeig both accept the EHIC/GHIC and opened at the end of 2018 and are brand new facilities.
Elche situated in the Alicante region. The historic quarter of Elche, capital of the region of Bajo Vinalopó (El Baix Vinalopò) in Alicante, preserves part of its Muslim past and Baroque splendour. Its palm tree grove, a World Heritage Site, adds to the appeal of the region, along with two holiday celebrations that have been declared of International Tourist Interest: “Domingo de Ramos” (Palm Sunday) and the Mystery of Elche. The Festa d’Elx (Festival of Elche) has been declared Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Elche is a must for many reasons, such as its many nature reserves, its coastal towns and its prestigious gastronomy, to name a few.

Orihuela offers a great place to enjoy the sea and sun, a monumental city centre, and three excellent eighteen-hole golf courses. Passing Torrevieja, going south, you can reach the coastal area of Orihuela. Vast sands mix with small cliffs, ideal for fishing and scuba diving with two marinas located amid gorgeous settings. Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cape Roig, and Dehesa de Campoamor are a few of the tourist towns that mark this southern route. Three excellent golf courses are the main attractions at some of them. The unit is well located to central Orihuela and opened in 2018 featuring 30 machines all with their own TV and WIFI.

Madrid is the capital of Spain and is its largest city. It is very cosmopolitan and sophisticated, and full of very educated people. It is also the home of the richest people in Spain. Bustling, energetic, vibrant… Madrid churns with energy as only a capital city could. From Puerta del Sol and the Gran Vía boulevard to Plaza de España, Malasaña, Chueca and the Real Madrid stadium, it’s not sheer multitude that makes the city stir. It’s the madrileño attitude – a zest for socializing, taking to the streets and cheerfully maximizing every hour not spent working. The unit in Madrid is situated close to the centre around 12KM, accepts the EHIC/GHIC and recently opened in 2019. With 25 machines each with individual TV and WIFI snacks with tea and coffee are also served during dialysis.
With 1.7 million inhabitants, Barcelona is the second most populated city in Spain. The Catalonian capital is a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city with a rich historic-artistic heritage and an important cultural wealth. It is home to one of the most important Mediterranean ports, Barcelona is an enchanting seaside city with boundless culture, fabled architecture and a world-class drinking and dining scene. There are several units situated within Barcelona that accept the EHIC, dialysis is available every day except Sunday. The Nephros clinics is only 2KM from the Parque Guell, the Center Virgen de Montserrat is 12 minutes away from Barcelona’s train station. The IHB unit is 350 meters away from the Camp Nou Stadium. The Rotellar unit is just 10 minutes away from Maragall station and the Palau Unit is 10 minutes away from the Alfons X station. Hospitalet de Llobregat is located a few kilometres away from the centre of Barcelona. One of the cities highlights is the new area of the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, another attraction is the city is close to the port. The unit is 3 minutes walk from the Town Hall square just 1.5KM from the beach - EHIC/GHIC is accepted.

Pineda de Mar has a long sandy beach and a wide range of accommodation, cafes, terraces and restaurants. Resorts close by include Calella, Santa Susanna and Malgrat de Mar. Opened in 2012 he unit has 30 machines all equipped with their own TV and free WIFI, the unit accepts the EHIC/GHIC and offers dialysis every day except Sunday and double and single needle is provided for. The city is located in the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula on the coast of Barcelona by the Mediterranean sea. It is the capital of Maresme, about 30KM north of the city of Barcelona. The clinic is in the center of the town, 4.5KM from the train station. Covered under the EHIC/GHIC the unit opened in 2001 with 25 dialysis machines all equipped with their own TV and Free WIFI refreshments are also provided.
Valencia is a privileged destination being known not only as a city but also a seaside resort, just 15 minutes away from downtown you can find the beaches of Las Arenas, Malvarrosa and El Cabanal, presented with blue flags and awarded with the tourist Q for quality. We have 6 units across the Valencia region all accepting the EHIC/GHIC card. The Gamapal and Nefroclub units are the closest to the centre of Valencia. We also have units in Requena, Alfafar, Burjassot and Gandia
In the province of Castellon, Vinaroz is located at the most northern point of the coast of Castellon, in the region of Bajo Maestrazgo of which Vinaros is the capital city. With more than 800 meters of golden sandy beaches fantastic water sports and seafood available. Opened in 1994 the unit offer 35 dialysis chairs all equipped with individual TV screens and free WIFI refreshments are provided and the EHIC/GHIC is accepted.
Located along the Mediterranean Sea Coast, you can count upon many different beaches and coved all with mountain backdrops of the Sierra. The dialysis unit accepts the EHIC/GHIC, equipped with 20 machines all with their own TV and free WIFI and refreshments.
The province of Castellon, with vast orange groves stretching along the coast to the Costa Blanca is a must visit, combine a few days in Valencia and a few days in Castellon. Taste the wonders of this amazing region at the Mercado de la Naranja (Orange Market) where the farmers of the region sell their produce directly to you – 65 stalls with a variety of citrus fruits. Another place to visit is the Museo de la Naranja (Orange Museum) which is dedicated to the cultivation of oranges from the 17th century. We have three units in the Castellon region of Valencia. Two in Castellon and one in Villarreal. All three accept the EHIC/GHIC.
Galicia, and in particular the towns close to “Santiago de Compostela” and its airport, have become increasingly popular with British and American holiday makers over recent years. This part of the Iberian Peninsula offers a taste of “real” Spanish culture, taking you away from the tourist frequented Costa’s and into a greener and more culturally defined part of the country. Here you can escape the commercialism that has tainted so many other European holiday destinations and explore a region rich in history, tradition, culture and architecture.
In terms of getting to Galicia, “Santiago de Compostela”, the provincial capitol of “la Coruna” and Vigo (in Pontevedra) all benefit from International airports, although “direct from the UK” flight schedules are limited.

Marbella is known as a glamorous resort town and is a favourite location with the rich and famous, boosted by foreign residents who are seduced by the lifestyle. But there’s plenty for ordinary folk to see and enjoy too in southern Spain’s answer to St Tropez. The unit is private and does not accept the EHIC/GHIC the cost per session is €269-€295. Dialysis is available every day except Sunday and double and single needle is provided for.
